Chinese Networking and Telecom Equipment supplier Huawei has strongly denied any wrongdoing, about which a written application was submitted in the Lok Sabha (House Of Commons). Indian Minister of State for Communications and IT, Killi Kruparani’s submitted a written reply to the Lok Sabha yesterday that the government is investigating an incident of Huawei allegedly hacking BSNL’s network. Interestingly, the reply has been generated in the wake of a few unsubstantiated claims of a mobile tower being impacted a few months ago in coastal area of Andhra Pradesh that was attributed to hacking by the company’s engineers. What happened? It is a very strange occurrence that the Centre is investigating corporate rivalry between Huawei and another Chinese company, ZTE , which has bagged the BSNL’s network-expansion project, including in Rajahmundry, which led to the alleged hacking. Apparently, state–run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. has undertaken Telecom Service Expansion across the country and two Equipment Suppliers, both Chinese, had taken part in the Bidding Process. Evidently ZTE won citing the lowest asking price, while Huawei refused to offer low prices. As part of the process a Base Station Controller (BSC) was being relocated and apparently out of inter–corporate rivalry, some Huawei employees purportedly sabotaged the BSC. Not meaning to take matters in their own hands, ZTE and BSNL Complained against Huawei and the matter has now reached the Parliament. The Indian Government has always been wary of Chinese Companies. At multiple instances Chinese Companies have bent or toyed with Indian Laws surrounding the Telecom Segment. What started with Phones without IMEI Numbers or Null IMEI Numbers later escalated to the accusations that Chinese Companies were fitting espionage equipment within Telecom Components. An inter-ministerial team has been formed to investigate the alleged hacking of the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. network in Andhra Pradesh. But, Huawei has strongly denied any wrongdoing. Let’s see who emerges truthful. Source | BGR Looking For A Social Media Agency?? – Contact WATConsult – India’s Leading Social Media Agency
